Tomo Company History
Factory in Baghdad

Tomo has focused on how individuals use wooden kitchens, wardrobes, and bedrooms, adopting advanced machinery and technologies to deliver high-quality surface finishes. The company transferred its advanced experience to Iraq, specifically in Baghdad, where it established its first factory in the Middle East in 2022.

The factory spans 6,000 square meters and is equipped with giant German and Italian machines, ensuring both quality control and high production speed.

By 2023, the production capacity reached 20 kitchens per day, marking the highest output achieved to date.

Today, Tomo is considered the largest facility in Iraq in terms of both area and production capacity for the manufacturing of wooden kitchens, wardrobes, bedrooms, and related décor.

Everything Tomo does is guided by a core value: our deep commitment to innovation.

Technical innovation above all: Tomo’s targeted investment strategy has led to the creation of one of the company’s most advanced production systems, featuring a high level of automation, streamlined production flows, improved logistics, and of course, advanced product development processes.

The interior cabinets are made from MDF (medium-density fiberboard), plywood, and natural wood imported from the finest global sources. These materials are treated with formaldehyde, which provides hardness and resistance to water and heat. The substance is applied using laboratory-tested methods to ensure low emission of toxic gases, making it safe for food and human use.

The cabinet edges are covered with 1.6mm-thick PVC, installed using modern edge-banding technology, ensuring precise and clean finishes.

Door Materials & Technology

Our doors are crafted from natural wood and high-pressure HDF, finished with a durable PVC coating applied using advanced German membrane press (vacuum press) technology for superior quality and finish.

We offer over 500 color options to perfectly match your design preferences.

Note: The PVC material we use at Tomo is unique compared to local market options. It is manufactured using Taiwanese technology, renowned worldwide for its excellence in environmental management standards.

Tomo is certified with ISO 9001 for its quality management system and operational processes. It has also earned the ISO 14001 certification, the world’s most recognized standard for environmental management systems, which defines the optimal approach for implementing an effective environmental strategy. Additionally, Tomo holds the HB certification, which evaluates the impact of materials on indoor air quality in buildings and homes. The company is also certified with the ECO LABEL, which promotes the creation of sustainable solutions based on life cycle assessment, with the shared goal of reducing the environmental impact resulting from product production or consumption activities.

Certification 1 Certification 2 Certification 3 Certification 4

Tomo offers customers an added assurance through its commitment to providing high-quality, long-lasting products and achieving continuous improvement, as demonstrated by our decision to obtain some of the world’s most prestigious certifications.

Obtaining quality certification is completely voluntary and not required by law. The certification process involves third-party verification confirming that our products and quality management system comply with the applicable standards.

The certifications Tomo has chosen to pursue cover critical areas essential to the manufacturing of high-quality furniture, including the production process, the final product, and environmental responsibility.

The surfaces in Tomo kitchens are made from quartz stone, tested to laboratory standards. These surfaces are:

  • Resistant to acidic and alkaline substances
  • Able to withstand high temperatures up to 100°C
  • Highly polished and non-porous, making them an unsuitable environment for bacteria

This makes them safe for food and positions quartz as one of the toughest and most reliable materials used in kitchen manufacturing.

Tomo guarantees that the door hinges can endure up to 50,000 opening cycles, which can last 25 years or more.

The drawer slides are designed to handle heavy loads, maximize storage space, and provide a smooth opening system.
